About us

Welcome to the Eco-Friendly Circular Advanced Materials & Additive Manufacturing (E-CAM) Lab at Western University, led by Dr. Ramona Fayazfar.

E-CAM is at the forefront of sustainable innovation, advancing the integration of materials science, additive manufacturing, and the circular economy to develop next-generation, low-carbon and circular materials.

Our research focuses on transforming waste, recycled, and bio-based resources into high-performance, scalable feedstocks for additive manufacturing. Through advanced material design, formulation, and processing, we enable the development of recyclable, biodegradable, and carbon-negative materials for applications spanning construction, packaging, energy, and beyond.

At E-CAM, we bridge fundamental materials research with real-world deployment, working closely with industry and academic partners to accelerate the transition from laboratory innovation to scalable manufacturing solutions.

Circularity is not just a goal—it is the foundation of everything we do in building a more sustainable and regenerative future.
