Congratulations to Amir on Successfully Completing His Master’s Degree! 🎉
We’re thrilled to celebrate the achievements of Amir, who has successfully completed his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Ontario Tech University.
His thesis, titled
“Advancing Sustainability in Additive Manufacturing: Material Formulation and Process Development for Recycled PET and PET/HDPE Blend,”
tackled one of the pressing challenges in the field of sustainable manufacturing—reprocessing unsorted and contaminated plastic waste for use in 3D printing.
Amir’s research highlights include:
🔹 Enhancing the rheological and printability properties of recycled PET through reactive chain extension
🔹 Developing compatibilized r-PET/r-HDPE blends tailored for pellet-based 3D printing
🔹 Comprehensive rheological, microstructural, thermal, and mechanical analysis of the materials developed
His work provides a pathway for transforming post-consumer plastic waste into functional, high-performance materials, contributing significantly to the field of circular and sustainable additive manufacturing.
Toward Sustainability and Circular Economy 🌱
Seyed Amir Ali Bozorgnia Tabary recently presented his research on 'Sustainable Feedstock Development: Biomass and Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate in Circular 3D Printing Materials' at the 63rd Annual Conference of Metallurgists (COM 2024). 🌱 We're proud of his hard work and dedication to advancing sustainable manufacturing! ♻️🌍
Congratulations to Naeim Karimi on Successfully Defending His Master's Thesis! 🎓
We are thrilled to announce that Naeim Karimi has successfully defended his Master of Science thesis at E-CAM under the supervision of Dr.Ramona Fayazfar, PhD,PEng. His research represents a significant advancement in the field of Metal FDM 3D-printing, focusing on the development of optimized feedstock for producing dense nickel components using recycled nickel powders.
